The key trends in eyewear from RTW SS20 include: neon frames (MSGM, Valentino) and lenses (Helmut Lang); flat tops across an array of shapes including aviators, catseyes and wayfarers (Salvatore Ferragamo, Balenciaga, Valentino and Proenza Schouler); high impact white frames remain key (Iceberg, Hugo Boss, Givenchy and Gucci); Fendi makes a great case for over-sized acetate square frames which ties into the seventies feel at Celine; we also saw alternative styling for eyewear, as a necklace at Stella McCartney over hats at Emporio Armani. Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler and Bottega Venetta introduced us to a new styling for strong women; narrow angular, black and cool as f@#k.
